Originally from Long Island, Pamela attended SUNY New Paltz, taught school in Beacon, and eventually settled in Newburgh. Since her retirement in 2005, she has traveled far and wide, worked as a French teacher in short-term leave replacement positions, and trained to be a Hospice volunteer.
